The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) announced Monday they are endorsing Judge Brian Hagedorn for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
“Brian Hagedorn is an outstanding judge who will interpret the Constitution the way our Founding Fathers intended,” said Chris Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF in a press release.
The NRA-PVF press release said that Hagedorn will, “work to protect Wisconsinites’ Second Amendment freedoms. His opponents cannot be trusted to do the same.”
Hagedorn only has one opponent in the April 2 election, Judge Lisa Neubauer, who is being supported by a host of leftwing and Democratic special interest groups including former Attorney General Eric Holder’s National Democratic Redistricting Committee and the far-left Working Families Party.
In a statement last week, Hagedorn announced the endorsement by noting the protection for the right to bear arms in the Wisconsin Constitution.
“Wisconsin’s proud hunting and sportsmen heritage is a part of who we are as a state, and the NRA represents thousands of Wisconsin citizens who wish to lawfully carry out their Second Amendment rights,” Judge Brian Hagedorn said. “Our Wisconsin Constitution plainly states, ‘the people have the right to keep and bear arms for security, defense, hunting, recreation or any other lawful purpose.’ I will enforce, uphold, and protect our constitutional rights on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.”
