We may not know the election results yet, and we won’t until the ballots are counted on April 12. There may be lawsuits as early as Wednesday.
However, there is one big loser on Election Day, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester). The Racine Journal Times caught up to Vos working at the polls on Election Day in full hospital gown, gloves and mask. The video of Vos geared up to avoid the Coronavirus while telling everyone it’s safe went viral (pun intended).
The bizarre picture of Vos assuring everyone that it was safe to vote while looking like an assistant in Dr. No’s laboratory went around the world, with even the British tabloids The Daily Mail and The Independent reporting on it. Making matters worse, Vos was giving bad advice about what to do if you didn’t receive your absentee ballot in time.
Needless to say, Vos’ appearance prompted comments from the national pundits.
Former RightWisconsin editor and current editor of the Bulwark Charlie Sykes said it was a case of “Orwell meets the Onion meets Animal House.”
Actually, it’s more like Caddyshack.
