Vukmir (R-Brookfield) has launched a new television ad critical of Baldwin for sitting on an Inspector General report that would have shined a light on the opioid prescription abuse at the veterans hospital.
Of more than 3,000 practitioners in the multistate region, the three highest prescribers of opiates were at the Tomah VA. They handed out so many narcotics that the hospital had earned the nickname “Candy Land.”
In early 2015, no one in the traditional media seemed to question the credentials or the veracity of “the fixer” when he was tapped by U.S Sen. Tammy Baldwin to fix the mess she had made of the Tomah VA scandal.
So on the one hand playing politics with the problems of the Veterans Administration is wrong, according to the Democrats. On the other hand they’re going to play politics by telling you what Baldwin did to fix the situation after her office sat on a report while veterans died at the Tomah VA Hospital.
